Bio:
Anyone who watches Saturday morning television knows Dennis Haskins. He plays Mr. Belding, principal of Bayside High School, on NBC's #1 Saturday morning hit, "Saved By The Bell." Haskins has developed Mr. Belding into a part of American teen culture with his fun-loving character. When not on the set, Dennis keeps active. "Kids are my cause," says Dennis. He lends much of his free time to personal appearances on behalf of a number of charitable organizations. He takes advantage of his huge popularity with kids by traveling to schools throughout the U.S., speaking to thousands of children about the importance of education. He has also been part of the National Basketball Association's "Stay in School" program. Haskins was recently acknowledged by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga when it named its annual regional high school Academic Decathlon competition "The Dennis Haskins Open."

Haskins is an original cast member of "Saved By The Bell" and "Good Morning, Miss Bliss," its predecessor. Now syndicated, it is seen in over 85 countries worldwide and has become a mainstay of Saturday morning television.

Haskins has a wide variety of credits in film and television. His dramatic side has found him roles with Albert Finney in "The Image," Richard Masur in "Wonderworks" for PBS, and most recently, starring in the feature films "18" and "The Boy With the X-Ray Eyes." Other T.V. credits include "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper," "Magnum, P.I.," "The Twilight Zone," and "OHARA." His theater credits include the critically acclaimed "Angry Housewives," "Look Homeward, Angle" and "That Other Woman's Child." Before pursuing acting, Haskins was a manager, agent and promoter in the music business.
